Little reminder about updates I can't post here
Due to DMCA complains that I've received for some of my fixes some time ago, is that I can't post updates here for those fixes. Thinking about it is that I implemented the "Check for Updates" option in the majority of my fixes, mostly in patches/keygens and hook installers.
In case a fix needs an update and you don't see me posting something here, it's due to the reason mentioned above, or just timing/personal issues. In any case, please always use the "Check for Updates" option in the patch/keygen/hook, if available. It's the only safe way I've so that people who use my fixes can access the most recent versions, without compromising the blog.
The availability of the update could take a few hours, or at most, one to two days. So, if using the above option tells you that you're already using the latest version, try again a few hours later. I'll always try to make the new version and update the download links as soon as possible.

ReplyDeleteI don't understand Chinese, so I can't figure out what the screenshots say. But based on one of them mentioning sxstrace.exe, I think you have some misconfiguration on your system. I recommend you to uninstall the hook and follow the steps in the following link to try to fix the issue and then reinstall the hook again:

Another possible reason could be that you are using some antivirus/antimalware software that's interfering with the hook. In that case, add an exception to the program. Its all I can recommend you.

Hi! Seems like a sensible thing to do, I noticed the update checking feature in a couple of the key generators, but at least one seems to not to work (different protocol or address?), the PrivaZer one.
ReplyDeleteThere is also one of them that needs a little tweak for an upcoming version, the one for Hard Disk Sentinel seems not to be generating valid keys for the current testing release (works fine with the current stable, but it's bound to be released soon).
In any case, thank you for everything you do, we all appreciate it.
Nevermind what I said about HDSentinel, v1.1 wasn't generating proper keys, but 1.2 was, it was just a case of the update checker stating it was up to date; PrivaZer's wasn't the one that couldn't make the update check (it doesn't have that functionality), but I can't pinpoint which one it was right now...

Thanks for checking, I'm moving the update info to another server, so the update check feature in some older releases may get broken. In those cases, when an update is necessary, it will be posted here.

I found one that may need tweaking, unless I have a previous release, the one for FastStone's products v1.1 doesn't seem to generate valid license codes for my name ("James Russell") for the Capture program when selecting a single user license type; it works, however, if I just input "James" as the name to use.
DeleteBecause it is an old release circa 2018 its update check feature isn't currently working, but other than that I don't know if it warrants an update, the programs' protection may not have changed.
